Modern Objects of Beauty

MOB is traveling salon-style shows which bring individual and sophisticated work to the design hungry for the sheer love of it. Unfortunately there isn't an online store yet, but they do showcase some of their beautiful items on the website.

The Real Mother Goose

A coworker just introduced me to his friends store, The Real Mother Goose. With locations in Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon, The Real Mother Goose has one goal: bring the best work by American artists and craftspeople together with friendly, personal service in an attractive and comfortable space. If you can't visit them in person, check out their store online. Here are a few of my favorite pieces:

Recently I signed up to test new sauces from Seeds of Change, and with the sauces came a Bambu serving bowl and spoon. "Bambu designs and creates products of distinction; blends functionality with contemporary design and imagination."

Hiking La Luz

This has got to be the most perfect summer morning yet here in Albuquerque. A friend and I just got back from hiking near La Luz, and it was gorgeous!

Artscape is artwork for your windows. Non-adhesive and easy to install and remove, Artscape provides privacy and allows natural light to enter the room while protecting your furniture and carpets from harmful UV rays. The 24" x 36" sheets tile together like wallpaper, or can be trimmed to fit any size window.

Iittala Canisters

These smart jars come in five colors of glass, with acrylic lid and heavy-duty rubber seal. On sale now at Tivoli Home.

Don't Bug Me

The flies nearly drove us crazy at the library today. It looks like Rose and Radish is infested with them as well.

Coffee Anyone?

If I knew this really worked, I'd get it in a heartbeat. The Newton Sugar/Creamer Set is designed so you can pour the cream while the sugar bowl pivots on top.

I am really enjoying all the fun, new aprons at Wrapables. These new styles are really cookin! (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

Sunday Morning

Here are a few photos from our morning at the ABQ Botanical Gardens and Aquarium. If you are in the area between now and August head to the Butterfly Pavilion and be surrounded by hundreds of amazing butterflies.

Off to Norway

Aaron is off to Norway for nine days while I hold down the fort here. I have several home projects to keep me busy:
  1. Adding the new Beearo wall art in the office
  2. Having a few friends over to make "vintage" bookmarks, gift tags, journals and invitations
  3. Shoveling three tons of gravel into our plant beds (okay, doubt I'll finish that one)
  4. Pining away for my husband
